Durational performance, dimensions variable

In the durational performance Play-Time (2026), Bob Bicknell-Knight opened his studio as both a site of labour and spectacle, playing video games continuously over four days; searching for clocks embedded within virtual worlds. This act of sustained play became a method of excavation, tracing how time is constructed across digital environments. As the artist navigated these simulated landscapes, the performance exposed the invisible systems governing both game mechanics and lived experience, collapsing distinctions between physical and virtual time.

Play-Time has been included in the following exhibitions:

– The School of Strange Weather. At The House of Leaking Sky, Estonian National Pavilion at Venice Biennale, Venice, IT, 11th – 16th August 2026.
